The Watch packaging design by Preaker pays homage to the traditional art of Hunan embroidery, a significant part of Changsha's folk culture. By incorporating the distinctive characteristics of Hunan embroidery into daily life objects, the design aims to bridge the gap between tradition and modernity, allowing people to appreciate the charm of traditional culture in new and innovative ways.

What sets the Preaker Watch Packaging apart is its incorporation of six landmark buildings that represent the cultural identity of Changsha. Each watch in the series is associated with one of these landmarks, and the packaging design reflects this connection. By combining the six landmarks into the packaging design, Preaker not only showcases the beauty of Changsha's architecture but also instills a sense of local pride and belonging.

The realization of the Preaker Watch Packaging involves the use of high-quality materials and advanced printing techniques. Cardboard serves as the base material, providing durability and a canvas for the intricate designs. The use of silver foil paper, along with matt lamination and hot stamping, adds a touch of luxury and elegance to the packaging.

The specifications of the Preaker Watch Packaging include a diameter of 140mm and a height of 55mm, ensuring a compact and convenient size for storage and display.

Through extensive research and careful consideration, the Preaker design team successfully overcame various challenges in the creation of the Watch Packaging. The team achieved this by retaining the embroidery technique and meticulously stamping the patterns onto the silver foil paper cardboard.

The Preaker Watch Packaging project commenced in October 2018 and was completed in January 2019, all within the city of Changsha. The design team's research focused on refining the style and form of expression of Hunan embroidery, ensuring a harmonious fusion of fashion and classical aesthetics.

Recognized for its exceptional design, the Preaker Watch Packaging was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2019.
